What is a Yellow Slip

Who is eligible to apply for a Yellow Slip

What documents are required

You’ll need a valid passport, proof of employment if you are working, proof of sufficient funds if you are not working, medical insurance and either a rental contract or proof of property ownership (or a rental agreement).

How do I apply

You can apply for a Yellow Slip by filling out the MEU1 application form and submitting it to the Civil Registry and Migration Department along with all the necessary supporting documents.

How long does it take to receive it

First, you'll need to make an appointment with the immigration office. If there are no issues with the required documents, the certificate is usually issued on the spot.

Can non-EU family members also apply

Yes, non-EU family members of EU citizens can apply for a residence card, allowing them to live in Cyprus as dependents.

How long is the Yellow Slip vallied

The Yellow Slip has indefinite validity for EU citizens, meaning it does not need to be renewed as long as the holder maintains their EU citizenship status.
